Knowing MOCEAN’s 30+ year history with Disney’s entertainment brands, Disney Corporate Alliances asked us to collaborate on a brand partnership with General Motors, a longtime partner at their Disney World Resort, to launch their 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV.
The question was how to tell a campaign story that captures what these two iconic brands have in common. The answer? A road trip powered by imagination.
Over three weeks, we paired in-depth research of the Chevy Bolt with our vast knowledge of the Disney brand to craft a road trip story that seamlessly connected the unique features of the car with iconic Disney characters and moments.
Navigating the complex network of stakeholders at both GM and Disney, we then executed and delivered the entire campaign in two months.
From campaign development, scriptwriting, and directing a 10-day shoot in Los Angeles and Orlando during COVID, to editing, music supervision, visual effects (with ILM & CoSA), and finishing services, we partnered with the Disney team to deliver a car launch that showcases our ability to think strategically and deliver world-class creative.
The result is a cinematic and heartfelt campaign that captures the values of optimism, fun and innovation that GM & Disney share.
