    THE CHALLENGE

    With the breakout success of Reel Destinations in capturing the attention of film fans, Focus Features wanted to expand their slate of branded series to attract even more diverse audiences.

    So what other aspects of filmmaking could tap into new demographics? We found our answer in the history of fashion.

    OUR APPROACH

    Knowing Focus Features films are at the highest level of storytelling and attention to detail, and their time periods span virtually all of world history, we saw an opportunity to dive deep into the fashion world via the art & craft of costume design.

    With the casting of fashion stylist, journalist, and producer Joe Zee as our host, we knew we could leverage his expertise and respect in the field to lead in-depth, thoughtful conversations with the films’ costume designers, exploring the history of fashion across dozens of film titles.

    Audiences were captivated by our reputably stylish approach, which further bolstered Focus Features’  brand while appealing to a younger, fashion-focused audience.
