    THE CHALLENGE

    Netflix wanted to launch Our Planet as a kickoff to their new nature vertical. But the big question was how to stand out in the well-worn nature documentary space while supporting the show’s mission to inspire environmental action. Our answer: Treat the Earth itself as the original must-see cinematic event.

    OUR APPROACH

    From our experience launching big franchise films, the key to people showing up is moving them with what only movies can provide: breathtaking imagery, gripping action and, most importantly, compelling characters in dramatic, life-or-death situations. Realizing that nature provides everything an epic film can, our direction was clear. Treating the Earth itself like a tentpole film, our creative team went to work, using sweeping music, custom shoot elements, immersive out-of-home, and even an epic animated title reveal to prove nothing is more larger-than-life than life on our planet.
